The only deposit required was for fuel and road tolls, and I received it back within 11 days, which was perfectly reasonable. The car itself was brand new and in excellent condition. We were verz happy with Centauro. Everything went smooth: the shuttle, pick up/ drop off. Got both deposits back (the gasoline deposit took 2 days, the toll deposit took 2 weeks). Thanks a lot!

We had a very good experience with Centauro. It was easy to check-in and we were in our vehicle in just a few minutes. The car was clean and comfortable. We did not have any problems at all with the car for the 9 days we rented it. Upon returning the car, we checked and double checked we had everything. It was explained to me that my gas deposit will be returned immediately (we returned it with a full tank) and I would be notified of any toll refund or charges in the next few day. Very easy and professional. I would definitely recommend them, and will use them again.

Super happy with everything! We rented a car from their website with full coverage and only had to give a 100€ deposit for the gas which we got back at the end. Everything went super smooth. We booked a fiat 500 but got a new ford focus instead.

How to pay

  • What are the different ways I can pay for my car hire?

    1.   Payment by Credit or Debit Card:  payment can be made using a credit/debit card (Visa/Visa Electron or Mastercard) either via our web site or on collection of the vehicle. You need to know that there will be a deposit applicable if you do not choose the Smart cover. The deposit will be refunded to you at the end of the rental if there is no new damage made to the car. For Portugal, a 100€ deposit will be charged to your debit or credit card to cover possible Via Verde toll charges. Debit cards must be nominative. If you have prepaid on the web for your vehicle you must use the same credit/debit (Visa/Visa Electron o Mastercard) when picking up the car. At our Athens & Thessaloniki offices, we only accept payment with a credit card.

    2.   Cash payment: we accept cash for your car hire in Spain and Portugal (Italy and Greece cash is not accepted). In these cases, and as a guarantee, you are required to leave a deposit for the excess applicable to the vehicle given using a credit card (NOT DEBIT).

    We do not accept prepaid cards, American Express, Maestro or Diners Club.

  • Can I pay with my credit card if I am not the person who picks up the car?

    No, the driver must present a valid credit or debit card in their name on collecting the vehicle.
