I have rented from here 4 times and never disappointed. U only gotta pay fuel and via verde deposit and overall the prices including the deposits are cheap and cars are all in great condition too! The deposits do take a week or two to reflect back usually but you get it all back. Also, everything is 10times smoother if u have the app

Centauro is an excellent Car rental company—first time using it. Contrary to all the bad reviews I saw online, our experience was A1. I made my reservation online through the Centauro website a month in advance, including the full insurance package. Another plus is that Centauro includes a second driver at no extra cost. The car looked like new, outside and inside. It only had 20.000 km or 12.000 Mi. We picked up in Porto and delivered in Lisbon. They have unlimited mileage. The personnel at both places were very courteous, knowledgeable, and treated us with respect. Picking up took us 10 minutes, and delivering the car not even 7 minutes at the Lisbon location. The best rental company so far out of all the ones I have used in the USA and Europe. They deserve NOT 5 stars BUT 10 stars for everything: price, quality, and excellent service. Thank you so much! How to pay

  • What are the different ways I can pay for my car hire?

    1.   Payment by Credit or Debit Card:  payment can be made using a credit/debit card (Visa/Visa Electron or Mastercard) either via our web site or on collection of the vehicle. You need to know that there will be a deposit applicable if you do not choose the Smart cover. The deposit will be refunded to you at the end of the rental if there is no new damage made to the car. For Portugal, a 100€ deposit will be charged to your debit or credit card to cover possible Via Verde toll charges. Debit cards must be nominative. If you have prepaid on the web for your vehicle you must use the same credit/debit (Visa/Visa Electron o Mastercard) when picking up the car. At our Athens & Thessaloniki offices, we only accept payment with a credit card.

    2.   Cash payment: we accept cash for your car hire in Spain and Portugal (Italy and Greece cash is not accepted). In these cases, and as a guarantee, you are required to leave a deposit for the excess applicable to the vehicle given using a credit card (NOT DEBIT).

    We do not accept prepaid cards, American Express, Maestro or Diners Club.

  • Can I pay with my credit card if I am not the person who picks up the car?

    No, the driver must present a valid credit or debit card in their name on collecting the vehicle.
