What to do on holiday in Majorca with children
Without a doubt, choosing Majorca this summer is a great choice, especially if you want to spend time with our children & family.
So that you and your little ones have a fantastic time this summer, we have prepared a list of some of the essential places to visit in Majorca with children:
A visit to the Cuevas de Drach (Drach caves) will be a great adventure. A feeling of entering the centre of the earth; a magical place where you can hear what sounds like the roar of dragons because of the sounds made by the waves that crash against the rocks. A wonder of nature that surprises us with its stalactites that float in an incredible subterranean lake. You can enjoy a ride in a wooden boat listening to classical music in the background. This is a must.
What child has not dreamed of going back in time to be a true knight in a medieval castle? A visit to the Castillo de Bellver, (Bellver castle), dating from the XIV century is another recommendation for your trip by car to Majorca. This beautiful circular castle (the only one in Spain) can be found just 3km from Palma, and is one of the wonders of the island.
Another day out in Majorca with children is to take a train ride from Palma to Soller in an authentic old wooden train that was built in 1912. From this train you can enjoy the beautiful surroundings & views that will be enjoyed by all. Whilst you are in Soller, we recommend that you see the village and even enjoy one of the many walks available.
Also worth a mention is a visit to the Palma Aquarium, where you can see all types of marine animals such as jellyfish, tropical fishes, and starfishes for example. The main attraction must be that children can lie down and watch how sharks swim, an incredible experience. You can also enjoy a wonderful pirate show that everyone will enjoy.
On our list of things to do we cannot miss a visit to one of the best beaches in Majorca; Playa de Es Trenc, a tropical paradise with crystal clear waters and golden sand, best of all is that it is in an undeveloped area but with direct access by road.
