Discover ‘the other Ibiza’ by car
The Mediterranean island of Ibiza is internationally know for being one of the Spanish regions with the most festivals per square metre in summer.
But, Ibiza is not all about the partying. This beautiful Balearic island offers a whole selection of idyllic coves and hideaways to enjoy your holiday at a more relaxed pace. From the airport hire a car in Ibiza and enjoy an unforgettable holiday.
In the morning, enjoy the best coves & beaches in Ibiza
The coast of Ibiza is home to some of the most spectacular beaches & coves in the Mediterranean. Places where the combination of the white sand and turquoise waters makes you think that you are dreaming, and you won’t want to wake up.
This very special journey can start in Cala Bassa, possibly one of the most beautiful coves in Ibiza. Located close to Sant Antony de Portamany, this small part of the coast looks like a natural swimming pool and is surrounded by pine trees. An Eden in which to enjoy with all of your senses.
More in the North, you will find Sant Joan de Labritja and the Cala d’en Serra, a paradise of blue waters and fine white sand and where you only will need to worry about relaxing.
Instead of swimming or topping up your tan, why not try scuba diving? We recommend Cala Xarraca, which without a doubt is the best place on the island to enjoy the beauty of our world underneath the water.
Enjoy an afternoon of culture and the Ibizan markets
What would Ibiza be with out its hippie markets? Local handicrafts and exotic jewellery directly from Africa or India meet Daily in the numerous markets spread all over the island. The most important ones are Punta Arabí on Wednesdays on Es Caná and the Las Dalias market on Saturdays in San Carlos.
Another plan is Benirrás. Encounters on the beach on a Sunday afternoon is very popular with the locals and the tourists. Join in with the singing & dancing to the rhythm of the drums to welcome in the evening is great fun.
Enjoy the magical sunsets of Ibiza
After we have enjoyed the sun and have a nice tan and we have taken in the different culture the island has to offer, nothing better than seeing the delightful and romantic sunset at the Mirador de Cala D’Hort. This viewpoint, formerly a lookout tower is today one of the most special corners from where you can contemplate a beautiful sunset.
To round off a marvellous day, we end the evening at the Cala Mastella Restaurant, known as ‘The Bigotes’. This is probably the most original and unforgettable restaurant on the island, here you can enjoy typical Ibizan gastronomy with amazing views of the bay.
