Taking a road trip through Andalusia could be the perfect plan for a winter getaway. Below, we recommend some itineraries that you can enjoy on your road trip through the south of Spain
Car itinerary through Seville
If you plan to travel around Andalusia by car, it’s best to start in the capital: Seville. Rent your car at Seville Airport or at Seville - Santa Justa train station and set off to explore one of Spain's most popular destinations.
This city has everything you are hoping for: art, history and charming squares that will leave you wanting to come back... and not only that, in Seville the cuisine is second to none. Are you eager to get started? We recommend that you enjoy the old town on foot, stroll through the Santa Cruz district, wander along the winding streets of the Jewish quarter, Plaza Nueva and the maze of alleyways that lead to Plaza del Duque.
Let’s make a stop on the way to visit the Cathedral of Seville. Did you know that it is the world’s largest cathedral? Next to it stands the famous Giralda, the bell tower that is the symbol of the city, along with its unmistakable orange tree courtyard. Without straying too far, we recommend a stop at the Reales Alcázares, a palace complex from the Middle Ages with vestiges of Islamic, Christian and Mudejar art, which is also the residence of the King and Queen of Spain when they visit the city. Don’t miss it on your car itinerary through Seville. Plaza de España and Maria Luisa Park are two of the city’s most fascinating spots. Stop to admire their undeniable beauty before setting off for our next destination.

After we leave Malaga behind, the next destination on our road trip is none other than Granada, one of the most visited cities in Spain, and no wonder... the Alhambra and its Generalife gardens, as well as the history that remains embodied within their walls, are sure to make a powerful impression on you.
